One of the biggest reasons I enjoy being a therapist is getting the opportunity to help my clients navigate the issues that are causing them pain. My hope is that by partnering with my clients, I can help them minimize the confusion, frustration and sadness caused by their symptoms. My desired result for those that work with me will be that they ultimately experience greater focus, calm and contentment.

I didn’t always think this way. Many years ago, I realized that my own lack of focus, disorganization, and feelings of general stress were causing sadness and frustration in my personal and work life. I was already practicing therapy at that time, and sometimes I felt like my personal struggles with lack of focus and inattention were getting in the way of me getting what I wanted in life. I sought help, which resulted in me getting treatment for symptoms of anxiety and depression and being diagnosed with ADHD.

It took time, support from my therapist, and trial and error for me to manage my own symptoms successfully and reach more of my personal goals. During my period of change, I was practicing therapy and doing research on what could help my symptoms and the symptoms of my clients.

As I utilized what I was learning through therapy and research, I began to feel more peace and calm when dealing with my symptoms. I also gained more knowledge to assist my clients and more empathy for the challenges my clients were experiencing.

This and other experiences led me to the decision to work with clients who were dealing with similar symptoms.

I am determined to help support my clients in their therapy journey so that they may relieve any emotional and mental pain they are experiencing and gain lives of greater clarity, peace and happiness.

I received my Master’s Degee in Marriage and Family Therapy at Harding University. I’m an Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT) in the state of Ohio. I’m also certified as an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP). I have over fifteen years of experience supporting clients in dealing with the causes of frustration and pain in their lives.
